Hey Ladies!

If you are in the middle of planning your wedding, congratulations!

I know there are so many things to think about and to decide and plan for. Today, I wanted to discuss your choice of flowers. You may not think this is a complicated topic, but it can be.

For me, my first thought was what flowers would I like for my bouquet and reception decor. That is actually the easy part. Now that you have chosen the flower(s) you want, you need to decide if you would like real or artificial flowers. Now, I know some of you are thinking, “EWWWW, artificial flowers!” but hear me out.

Fresh flowers are beautiful and smell great, but depending on the flowers you have chosen, the price may be a bit high. This is especially true if the flowers are out of season. If you are working with a large budget, this may not be an issue.

Another point to consider is some people do not like the idea of using real flowers. The reasons vary widely, so I won’t get into that topic.

And of course, if you have an artificial bouquet, you get to keep it, and it will look as beautiful 50 years from now as it does on your wedding day. They can also be a more affordable option. Don’t think artificial flowers don’t look nice. The quality bouquets look extremely real! If your artificial bouquet must have a scent, spray it with your favorite perfume! I promise not to tell!

The first one is wooden flowers. They are beautiful, light, and unique.

And finally, one of my favorites. The crystal bouquet! A bit on the pricey side, but worth it!

There are also bouquets that use artificial flowers as well as crystal beads, which are lovely as well.

For my wedding, I had real flowers for the bouquets and boutonnieres, and I used artificial flowers for our centerpieces.

So there are definitely some ideas for your wedding flowers. Of course, there are hundreds of different flowers and even more choices when you choose to combine two or more different flowers.
